Reference Services Area is undergoing renovationsReference Services is going away for a while. Many of the books are joining the circulating stacks, the computers and furniture are being stashed in a storage room, and the reference librarians are being scattered throughout the library, wherever there’s a vacant office. For the next six weeks or so, that area of the library will be home to hammer– and paintbrush-wielding workmen, electricians, and carpet layers. But it’s all good…when it reopens in early July, Reference Services will contain more computers, more individual and group study areas, and new carpeting.

Reference Services Area renovations
In the meantime, a librarian will be staffing the 24/7 Study Area’s Help Desk Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Computers will be available in the 24/7 Study Area, including four community workstations.

Arts and crafts fair outside Love Library

The festive tents of the arts and crafts fair lining the north end of Love Library today helped to dispel some of the gloom of an overcast day. Hopeful venders display their wares: T-shirts, pottery, jewelry, incense, tote bags, etc. Stop by and take a look; buy yourself a present or two; then come by the library and see what’s new!
